Position: Operations Performance Manager

Reports to: Manager of Manufacturing Operations

Position Summary:

As the Operations Performance Manager, you play a key role in driving continuous improvement efforts. Day-to-day, you'll plan, coordinate and conduct projects or studies designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays, influence cost reductions and drive improvements in quality.

 You will also play a key role capital projects happening within our Hereford, TX plant. We'll turn to you to take ownership of capital projects that will significantly impact our larger goal of providing handcrafted, all-natural, wholesome pet food. You'll be the voice of your larger team as you coordinate cross-functionally with employees and contractors in the successful management and execution of key projects.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Meets all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental requirements when performing job duties.
  • Working with cross-functional groups of employees and contractors in the successful management and execution of key projects. 
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in the plant in support of achieving Sustainable safe quality production.
  • Develop programs to track and improve operations for continual advancement in targets around, safety, quality and throughput.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities. Develop scope of work and evaluate bids for work completion.
  • Lead and manage assigned capital projects to include new equipment installations, plant layout and design, manufacturing automation projects, and maintenance related projects.
  • Budgetary responsibility for assigned projects.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field of study

Experience: 3+ years of capital project management experience

2+ years of experience in working with industrial environmental management and continuous improvement practices

Skills: Bi-lingual is a plus but not required
